MBRYONICS’ cutting-edge STARCOM product line features an industry-leading fiber-coupled optical head that supports various data modulation formats within the 1550nm (ITU C-band) range.
Our STARLIGHT modem allows diverse protocols and speeds, leveraging STARCOM’s exceptional capabilities in polarization modulation, On-Off Keying (OOK), and coherent modulation schemes.
Compatibility with SDA 3.1 and IEEE803.2 Ethernet standards, coupled with FEC, enables seamless integration for LEO, MEO, and GEO Optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISL) as well as Space to Ground links. Customised solutions are available to cater to specific client requirements, ensuring optimal performance across a wide range of applications.
Our integrated Modem and ACU design boasts a remarkably lightweight build, weighing less than 3.5kg. This makes the STARCOM product line an exceptional choice for advanced optical communication systems seeking unparalleled performance and versatility.
STARLIGHT Configuration Options
- Our StarBurst LNA and Booster Optical Amplifiers need to be used in conjunction with the modem to amplify the modem's optical signals.
- MBRYONICS supply a combined LNA and Booster payload (render image above with dimensions), also shown as a group of three stacked amplifiers (Booster + LNA) combined with the STARCOM Antenna Control Unit (ACU).
- NOTE: One ACU can control up to four STARCOM units. ACU’s can also be split for greater flexibility.
