MBRYONICS brings forward the latest in optical communications with its newest StarCom product line for Optical Inter-Satellite Links and Earth Links. StarCom is an industry leading optical communications system with full duplex fibre coupling. This technologically advanced system is industry leading as defined by SWaP, data rates, antenna gain, PAT (pointing, acquisition and tracking), and satellite integration. StarCom also supports dual polarisation and quantum key distribution (QKD).

StarCom is a highly reconfigurable system capable of supporting varying constellation topologies and applications. Our fibre-coupled duplex architecture enables ultra high-speed communications (DWDM), transparent compatibility with any 1550nm third party modems and is compatible with the SDA Standard version 3.0.

The STARCOM optical antenna system is made up of two payloads: an optical terminal, i.e., Laser Communication Terminal (LCT), and a separate Antenna Control Unit (ACU); fibre coupling provides for multiplexed and higher order data rates with a full payload functionality typically also requiring an optical modem (e.g., MBRYONICS StarCom-100G modem) and optical amplifier.
